TOP-END RODS. SENSIBLE PRICES. NO NONSENSE.
PHANTOM FISHING RODS LTD was started for one simple reason - sea anglers in the UK are being ripped off. We were paying £500, even £600+ for a sea rod and thinking - is it really worth it? We knew we could do it better. And for a fair price.
We are Phantom Fishing Rods Ltd - Company No. 16080661. A small, independent team of dedicated sea anglers based in the North East. We are not a big corporation with big overheads, big sponsorship deals and big price tags. We are a small team, and that is our strength.
Only The Best Will Do. But At A Fair Price.
We refuse to cut corners on what matters. Every Phantom rod is built on:
- High-Grade Japanese Carbon: We use only premium Japanese Toray carbon blanks. Light, incredibly strong, with fast recovery and real backbone where you need it. No cheap, heavy, dead-feeling carbon. You will feel the difference the second you pick it up.
- Full Fuji Components: Not "Fuji style" or "Fuji type". Full, genuine Fuji. Fuji SiC guides, Fuji reel seats, Fuji components throughout. The industry standard for a reason - they don't rust, they don't groove, they don't let you down after one season in the salt.
We believe anglers deserve this quality as standard, not as a £600+ upgrade. Some brands charge extortionate prices for this level of spec. We don't. We run lean, we sell direct, and we pass that saving straight to you. You are paying for the rod, not the logo, not the fancy catalog, not the pro-staff. A fair price for a proper rod. That's the Phantom way.
A Small Team, Every Rod Tested Properly.
We are not 50 people in an office who don't fish. We are a small, dedicated team of anglers, each bringing something different to the table. Every single Phantom rod has to be approved by all of us.
That means before a rod gets the Phantom name, it has been:
- Casted for distance in a crosswind
- Fished on rough ground and clean ground
- Tested for bite detection on small bites and power on big fish
- Lived with - thrown in the van, fished in the rain, covered in salt
If one of us says "it's not right" - it doesn't get released. Simple. We don't release 20 rods a year. We release the right rods.
